Facultative Reinsurance Broking Across Property

We broker individual facultative placements for insurers and cedants in Asia — accessing Lloyd's of London, regional reinsurers, and specialist markets to secure capacity and terms that work for your book.

What We Place
Our Four Core Classes
Property
Complex commercial and industrial risks — large schedules, high-value locations, non-standard occupancies, and adverse loss history. Proportional and non-proportional structures available.
Engineering
CAR, EAR, machinery breakdown, and contractor's plant and machinery — with specialist focus on infrastructure and energy-adjacent risks requiring technical facultative underwriting.
Surety & Bonds
Performance, advance payment, and other surety bonds — supporting cedants managing concentration or capital constraints across domestic and international markets.
Marine Cargo
Open cover and individual shipment reinsurance for ASEAN trade lanes — placed with Lloyd's specialists and regional reinsurers with Southeast Asian appetite.
Our Market Access
Direct Access to International Markets
Our reinsurance broking desk operates out of Labuan — licensed by the Labuan Financial Services Authority — giving us the regulatory foundation to access international reinsurance markets on behalf of our cedants.
We maintain direct working relationships with professional reinsurers and leading regional reinsurers across Asia. For complex or large risks, we go to the market directly, which means faster responses and cleaner terms.
How a Facultative Placement Works with Emerge
Step 1
Risk Assessment & Market Fit
Before we approach any market, we assess where your risk sits in the current appetite landscape — occupancy profile, loss record, existing terms, and capacity requirements. We tell you upfront which markets are live for your risk and what we expect from them. No speculative submissions.
Step 2
Submission Engineering
We structure the submission to lead underwriter standard — technically precise, with the information presented in the sequence and format that drives engagement. The quality of a submission determines the quality of the response. We do not cut corners here.
Step 3
Lead & Panel Development
We work to secure a credible lead line first, then build the panel around it. Where the risk warrants it, we approach Lloyd's and London market capacity in parallel with regional markets — giving you competitive tension that drives better pricing and conditions.
Step 4
Bind, Close & Reporting
On bind, you receive a complete placement record — markets on risk, signed lines, premium allocation, and a full breakdown of terms and conditions. Every placement is documented to the standard you would expect from a regulated intermediary.

Why Emerge
What Sets Our Reinsurance Desk Apart
Structured Submissions
We invest time in preparing your submission correctly. International underwriters respond faster and more favourably to risks that are clearly presented and technically sound.
Transparent Market Feedback
We share what the market says — including declines and the reasons behind them. You always know the full picture, not just the result we want to tell you.
Technology-Backed Appetite Intelligence
Our placement intelligence platform tracks underwriter appetite and pricing behaviour across our target classes. We know who is open for business before we approach them — saving time and protecting your relationship with the market.
Our Clients
We work with domestic Malaysian and Asia-based insurers, underwriting managers, and specialty cedants that require facultative support on individual risks. We are particularly well-suited to cedants placing property and engineering risks that fall outside standard treaty capacity — whether due to size, occupancy, geography, or risk quality.
We also work with insurers entering new lines or geographies who need facultative capacity as a bridge before treaty support is established.
